Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of canadatradis.com and its content (together, the "Site"), operated by C·tradis ("we", "us" or "our"), an independent educational publisher based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. By accessing or using the Site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the Site

C·tradis is an editorial reading desk that publishes general, educational explainers about markets, investing concepts, financial instruments and related research. We are not a financial firm, broker, dealer, portfolio manager or adviser, and the Site is not a trading, brokerage or account-opening service.

2. No professional advice

All content is provided for general information and education only. Nothing on the Site constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, product or service. 3. Eligibility

The Site is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. By using the Site you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the Site for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to: copy, republish, sell or exploit the content commercially without our written permission; use the Site unlawfully or in a way that could damage, disable or impair it; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its systems; use automated means to scrape or harvest content except as permitted by our robots file; or introduce malware or interfere with other users.

5. Intellectual property

The Site and its content — including text, graphics, logos, images and layout — are owned by or licensed to C·tradis and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. "C·tradis" and associated marks may not be used without our prior written consent.

6. Your submissions

If you send us a message, question or suggestion, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use it to respond to you and, in anonymised form, to improve our content. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit and must not send unlawful, infringing or misleading material.

7. Third-party links and advertising

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and may display advertising served by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, services or privacy practices. Links and ads do not imply our endorsement.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any information is current or reliable.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, C·tradis and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or investment losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless C·tradis and its contributors from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms.

11. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Nova Scotia for any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you.

13. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
